3M Automix 08224 Quick Fix is a cyanoacrylate adhesive kit supplied in a clear liquid bottle, designed for rapid bonding of automotive components where a one-minute set time is required. It is ideal for quick repairs on panels, trim pieces, and interior parts that demand immediate handling strength.
The formulation offers excellent sprayability and can be applied up to ten coats per session, providing consistent coverage across a wide range of substrates including ABS, aluminum, fiberglass, FRP, OEM plastics, primer, SMC, steel, and wood. The fast cure enables technicians to achieve full bond strength within minutes, reducing flash time on the shop floor.
Due to its acute toxicity, flammability, and classification as a carcinogen and respiratory irritant, proper personal protective equipment is mandatory: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator when ventilation is limited. Follow standard first-aid procedures for inhalation, skin contact, eye exposure, and ingestion as outlined in the SDS.

How to Use
For bonding rubber, metal, plastic and automotive applications
- Clean and dry the substrate; remove all oil, grease, dust, or loose material.
- Verify that the surface is one of the compatible substrates: ABS, aluminum, fiberglass, FRP, OEM plastic, primer, SMC, steel, or wood.
- Apply the adhesive using a spray gun for even coverage. The product offers excellent sprayability.
- Build up to 10 thin coats as required; allow at least 1 minute between coats for flash time.
- After the final coat, let the assembly cure according to the fast-set characteristic (approximately 1 minute to handle).
