Resists peeling, loss of adhesion, and blistering. Must be heat cured at a minimum temperature of 400 deg F for two hours. Do not use a primer.
SEYMOUR® Hot Spot® 16-1203 is a heat-resistant aerosol paint formulated for repairing high-temperature areas such as exhaust manifolds, turbo housings, and brake components. Delivered in a 16 fl-oz can, it provides up to 15 sq ft of coverage per can when applied within the recommended temperature range of 50-100 °F.
The formulation adheres directly to e-coat and primer surfaces without additional priming, allowing rapid touch-up work. Its low flash point of -19 °C (-2 °F) enables quick drying in hot shop environments while maintaining flexibility under thermal cycling. Shelf life is guaranteed for two years when stored sealed.
Handling requires standard aerosol PPE: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator with appropriate filters. Use adequate ventilation to control vapors; the product carries H-statements H222, H280, H315, H319, H336, H351, H361, and H373.
