DTM2004 Direct to Metal 2K Primer - Medium Gray DTM2004 primer is formulated with a hybrid of epoxy and acrylic polymers, which provide excellent adhesion, good corrosion resistance, productive dry times, and ease of sanding. This primer emits very low amounts of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's), Hazardous Air Polluting Solvents (HAPS), and contain no isocyanates.
VOC: 2.1 to 3.2
Activator: DTMA
National Rule Reducers: 171-174 Uni-Solvent
Exempt Reducers: X01-X02 Uni-Solvent LV, LVB100 Series LV Reducers
Mix Ratio: 4:1:1 Primer, 4:1:2 Sealer
How to apply
Steps
1Clean and degrease the surface, then scuff as needed.
2Mask off surrounding panels and trim.
3Mix to the product's ratio and strain.
4Apply 2–3 even coats, flashing between each.
5Let cure fully before sanding, buffing, or assembly.
