3M 05801 Lightweight Body Filler is a one-gallon paste formulated for repairing dents, scratches, and surface imperfections on automotive panels. It is designed for rapid sand-and-fill applications where a low-density filler is required to build shape before final sanding and painting.
The filler adheres to a wide range of substrates, including aluminum, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, plastic, polyester, primer, SMC, and standard steel panels. Its lightweight formulation provides excellent coverage while maintaining workability for precise contouring.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as nitrile gloves and safety glasses, and ensure adequate ventilation or local exhaust when mixing and applying the filler to control vapors and dust.
