3M™ Super Fast Plastic Repair Adhesive is a two part urethane formulated to be used on most plastic substrates as a fast cure bonding adhesive with excellent gap filling capabilities. 3M™ Super Fast Plastic Repair Adhesive also functions for replacing and repairing broken or missing mounting tabs on plastic parts.
3M Duramix 4747 Super Fast Plastic Repair Adhesive is a low‑viscosity, amber‑colored liquid designed for rapid structural bonding of plastic components and metal substrates in collision repair. It is supplied in a 47.3 mL cartridge and is intended for spot repairs, seam sealing, and reinforcement of ABS, fiberglass, SMC, and other plastic parts.
The adhesive achieves a high build with 10–13 coats per cartridge, providing sufficient thickness for most repair applications while maintaining strong adhesion to a wide range of substrates, including aluminum, steel, galvanized metal, e‑coat finishes, and primed surfaces. Its formulation is compatible with OEM repair processes and offers reliable bond strength without the need for extensive surface preparation.
Use requires appropriate personal protective equipment: eye protection, chemical‑resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in well‑ventilated areas. Follow standard first‑aid procedures for inhalation, skin contact, eye exposure, and ingestion as outlined in the safety data sheet.
