TRANSTAR® Kicker Accelerator is designed to accelerate the curing, dust, tack and tape times of TRANSTAR® Acrylic Urethane Primers and Clear Coats with no sacrifice of pot life. When Kicker is used according to the directions, it can save time and cost, by improving shop productivity. TDS 700.
TRANSTAR® 6417 Kicker is an 8‑oz urethane accelerator formulated for use with primers and primer surfacers. It is added to the mix to reduce flash time and accelerate cure, allowing body shop technicians to achieve faster turnaround on primer coats without sacrificing film integrity.
The accelerator is compatible with all primer substrates and maintains a VOC level of 8.02 lb/gal (961 g/L). It provides consistent acceleration across the recommended mix ratio, extending the workable pot life of the primer system while delivering a rapid flash time that meets high‑volume shop demands. Shelf life is rated at one year when stored under recommended conditions.
Use with proper ventilation and wear eye protection, chemical‑resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator as required by the SDS (Signal Word: Warning). Follow H‑statements H226, H303, H316, H330, H336, H360, H373, and H402 for safe handling.
