3M Automix 08463 Flexible Foam is a two-component, low-viscosity liquid foam designed for rapid fill and reinforcement of panel gaps, seams, and structural voids in automotive collision repair. Delivered in a 200 mL cartridge, the mix expands to create a durable, flexible bond that restores original contour while supporting subsequent sanding and painting.
The formulation offers a one-hour open time and a one-hour cure at typical shop conditions, allowing up to ten coats per application without loss of adhesion. Excellent sprayability provides uniform coverage, and the foam is compatible with OEM substrates commonly found in vehicle repair. VOC emissions are limited to 1.1 lb/gal when expansion is unrestricted.
Due to its acute toxicity profile, handling requires eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in well-ventilated areas. Follow all H-statements (H315, H317, H319, H334, H335, H360, H371, H372) and first-aid procedures for inhalation and skin contact.

How to Use
For door skins, floor pans, joint filling, rocker panels, voids and gaps
- Clean and degrease the OEM substrate; ensure it is dry and free of contaminants.
- Shake the 200 mL cartridge thoroughly before use to achieve a uniform mixture.
- Apply the foam using spray equipment, taking advantage of its excellent sprayability.
- Build up to ten coats as required, allowing approximately 1 hour drying time between successive coats.
- After the final coat, allow a minimum of 1 hour curing at ambient temperature before handling or painting.
