L4.4.K1 is a matt finish 2K high quality PU topcoat. Its car finish grade appearance, durability and performance make it ideal for light commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, trains, boats and heavy plant applications. With VOC complaint activators and reducers this can be used in areas with VOC legislation.
GlobalStar L44K1 is a low-VOC acrylic polyurethane binder supplied in a 1 gal can, formulated for high-performance coating systems in automotive refinishing and collision repair. It provides a durable, clear base layer suitable for topcoats on a wide range of substrates.
The binder cures to touch in 1 hour at 20 °C (68 °F) with a pot life of 1.5 hours, allowing ample working time for large panels. At 100 % transfer efficiency it covers approximately 388 sq ft per gallon, delivering efficient material usage. It is compatible with aluminum, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized metal, plastic, primer, steel and wood, making it versatile for mixed-material repairs.
Due to its acute toxicity, skin corrosion, eye damage and flammability hazards, the product requires full PPE: safety glasses or goggles, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator. Use in a well-ventilated area and follow H225, H315, H317, H319, H336, H351, H361, and H373 hazard statements.

How to Use
For light to medium industrial equipment, recreational boat refinishes, construction equipment, airport ground support equipment, truck and trailer refinishing, bus and transit refinish, commercial auto and van refinish
- Clean and degrease the substrate; ensure surface is free of oil, rust, and loose material.
- Stir the binder thoroughly before use. Apply within the 1.5-hour pot life at 20 °C (68 °F).
- Apply with a spray gun or roller to achieve full coverage (≈ 388 ft² per gallon at 100 % transfer efficiency).
- Allow 1 hour dry time at 20 °C (68 °F) before handling or applying additional coats.
- If a second coat is required, repeat application after the first coat has reached the specified dry time.
- Clean equipment with an appropriate solvent (e.g., mineral spirits) while the binder remains within its pot life.
