PROSPRAY® AmTech™ AM-100-1 Universal Clear Coat is a single-component, high-build clear finish designed for automotive refinishing shops that require a durable topcoat over e-coat substrates. The 4:1 mixing ratio delivers consistent film formation and excellent gloss retention on new or repaired panels.
Technical strengths include a pot life of 2-4 hours at 72°F (22°C), allowing ample working time for large jobs, while flash time between coats is only 8-10 minutes under the same conditions. One gallon provides approximately 480 sq ft. of coverage at 1.0 mil thickness, ensuring efficient material usage and uniform film thickness across complex geometries.

How to Use
For 2 to 3 medium wet coats
- Verify the panel has a fully cured e-coat surface; no additional prep is required.
- Mix the clear coat at a 4:1 ratio (clear coat to hardener) by weight or volume.
- After mixing, work within the pot life of 2-4 hours at 72 °F (22 °C).
- Apply the first coat using spray equipment; allow a flash time of 8-10 minutes before applying the next coat.
- Repeat for the required number of coats, maintaining the same 8-10 minute flash interval between each.
- After the final coat, allow the film to dry and cure according to standard clear-coat curing practices (no specific cure time provided).
