TRANSTAR® 4303 Tex Coat Chip Guard is a 16 oz aerosol clearcoat designed to protect repaired panels from stone chips, UV exposure, and environmental wear. It is commonly applied as a final protective layer over primer, basecoat, or clearcoat in collision repair and refinishing operations.
The formulation offers a flash time of 10–15 minutes at 70 °F (21 °C), allowing rapid handling and reduced cycle time. It adheres to a wide range of substrates, including aluminum, bare metal, e‑coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, OEM plastics, primer, SMC, and standard steel, providing versatile coverage for mixed‑material repairs. The product remains stable for up to one year when stored properly.
Because the aerosol is classified with a Danger signal word and contains acute toxicity, flammable solvents, and oxidizers, appropriate PPE—eye protection, gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator—must be worn. Application Guide
