TRANSTAR® 4313 Tex Coat Chip Guard is a 16‑oz black aerosol formulated to protect repaired panels from stone chips and abrasion during the final stages of a paint system. It is applied as a clear, fast‑drying barrier over primed or base‑coated surfaces before topcoat application.
The product offers a flash time of 10–15 minutes at 70 °F (21 °C), allowing rapid re‑coating in high‑throughput body shops. Its solvent blend adheres to a wide range of substrates, including aluminum, steel, galvanized steel, fiberglass, e‑coat, OEM plastics, SMC, and pre‑applied primers, giving technicians flexibility across most shop projects. Shelf life is one year when stored under recommended conditions.
