High build lacquer primer aerosol that fill uneven surfaces prior to topcoating. Ideal for spot repairs on fully cured paint, polyester body fillers, GRP and properly prepared steel, aluminum, and galvanized panels.
U-POL HIGH#5™ UP0871 is a high-build primer supplied in a 450 mL aerosol can, formulated for rapid fill and sand preparation on repair panels. It delivers a smooth, uniform base layer suitable for body shop applications where a single thick coat or two light coats are required before topcoat.
At an application temperature of 68 °F, the primer provides approximately 21.5 sq-ft coverage per can and adheres to a wide range of substrates including aluminum, bare metal, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, OEM finishes, polyester, SMC and standard steel primers. The high-build formulation reduces the number of passes needed, improving shop efficiency while maintaining excellent fill and leveling characteristics.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -60 °C) and listed GHS hazards, use requires adequate ventilation and full personal protective equipment: safety glasses or face shield, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing and a suitable respirator. Follow H-statements H222, H225, H229, H304, H315, H319, H336, and H400 for safe handling.

How to Use
For spot repairs on fully cured paint, polyester body fillers
- Clean and degrease the substrate (aluminum, steel, fiberglass, etc.) to remove all contaminants.
- Verify that ambient temperature is at least 68 °F before application.
