2.1 VOC 2:1 CLEARCOAT
U-POL SYSTEM 20 UP2843 is a two-component clearcoat supplied in a 5 L tin, formulated for a 2:1 mix ratio and designed for high-gloss finishes on e-coat substrates. It is intended for professional body shop applications where durability and optical clarity are required.
The system delivers rapid flash time of 11-13 seconds at the recommended application temperature, allowing two coats to be applied within a typical production cycle. With a VOC content of 122 g/L and a shelf life of two years in the sealed original container, it provides consistent coverage and long-term storage stability.
Due to its classification as acute toxic, flammable, and carcinogenic, proper PPE-including eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator-is mandatory. Use adequate ventilation and follow all H-statements (H225, H226, H302, H315, H317, H319, H332, H336) during mixing and application.

Application Guide
- Inspect the panel and ensure it is coated with a cured e-coat finish; remove any contaminants.
- Clean the surface thoroughly with an appropriate solvent to eliminate oil, grease, or dust.
- Mix the clearcoat at a 2 : 1 ratio (part A : part B). After mixing, work within the flash time of 11-13 seconds.
- Apply the first coat using a spray gun at the recommended equipment temperature. Allow the specified flash time before proceeding.
- After the first coat has flashed, apply the second coat under the same conditions.
- Allow the clearcoat to cure according to the manufacturer's guidelines (dry time not specified in the data).
