3M 08500 All-Around Auto Body Sealant is a viscous, white sealant supplied in a 378 mL cartridge for filling and sealing gaps, seams, and joints on new or repaired panels. It is formulated for rapid repair cycles, allowing up to ten coats per application with a 5-minute flash time before tooling.
The sealant offers excellent sprayability and adheres to a wide range of substrates, including ABS, aluminum, fiberglass, FRP, OEM plastics, primer, SMC, steel, and wood. Its fast cure enables efficient workflow while maintaining flexibility and durability across diverse body shop repairs.
Use in a well-ventilated area and wear eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator as required by the SDS. The product contains hazardous components (acute toxicity, aspiration hazard, carcinogen, etc.) and must be handled according to safety guidelines.

How to Use
For use on bare metal, door hem flanges, boor jambs, door skins, exterior seams and joints, floor pans, galvanized, general purpose, interior seams and joints, joint filling, rear body panels and rocker panels
- Clean and degrease the substrate (steel, aluminum, fiberglass, wood, etc.) to remove all contaminants; ensure a dry surface before proceeding.
- Apply the sealant using spray equipment for optimal coverage; the product is formulated for excellent sprayability.
- Build up to 10 coats as required, allowing the recommended flash time (approximately 5 minutes) between each coat.
- After the final coat, allow the sealant to cure fully according to the manufacturer's specified cure schedule before any subsequent finishing operations.
