Dynatron Dyna-Glass 462 is a short-strand fiberglass reinforced body filler supplied in a 1 qt green liquid/paste can. It is formulated for rapid repair of panels and structural areas where high strength and sandability are required, making it ideal for aluminum, steel, fiberglass, plastic, polyester and primed substrates.
When mixed with 2 % hardener by weight at 77 °F (25 °C), the filler reaches a sandable state in 8-12 minutes, providing fast turnaround on repairs. The low VOC content of 13 lb/gal helps meet environmental regulations while delivering consistent fill and excellent adhesion across compatible substrates. Application is recommended above 45 °F (7 °C) to ensure optimal cure.
Use requires standard personal protective equipment: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in well-ventilated areas. How to Use
For use as a reinforcement material during the repair of holes, cracks or tears in metal and fiberglass panels
- Clean and degrease the substrate (aluminum, fiberglass, plastic, polyester, primer, or steel) to ensure a contaminant-free surface.
- Mix Dynatron Dyna-Glass filler with 2 % hardener by weight; stir until uniform. Note: sandable time begins at 8-12 min after mixing when ambient temperature is above 45 °F (7 °C).
- Apply the first coat with a spreader or trowel to fill low spots, shaping to the desired contour.
- Allow the filler to reach its sandable window (8-12 min) before sanding smooth. If additional thickness is required, repeat coating steps.
- After final sanding, clean tools with an appropriate solvent (e.g., acetone or mineral spirits).
