HOUSE OF KOLOR® SHIMRIN® C2C-KBC05-Q01 is a universal basecoat from the Candy Series formulated for high-gloss color builds on a variety of substrates, including e-coat, fiberglass, OEM finishes, polyester and primer. It is supplied in a 1 qt can and is intended for professional body shop applications where precise color matching and durability are required.
The formulation uses the RU series reducers at the specified mix ratio, delivering low VOC emissions at 3.5 lb/gal (420 g/L) to meet environmental compliance while providing consistent coverage. Its chemistry is compatible with a broad range of underlying finishes, allowing seamless integration into multi-coat systems without additional priming.
Due to its flash point of 4 °C (25 °F) and classification as a flammable oxidizer, handling requires standard PPE: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in a well-ventilated area. Follow the SDS safety guidelines for first-aid response in case of inhalation or ingestion.
