Universal acrylic urethane klear is a coast-2-coast compliant clear, designed to provide optimum flow and leveling in an easy 2:1 mix. UC21 features high gloss and has good chemical, fuel and water resistance. UC21 may be used to topcoat any House of Kolor basecoats and urethane enamel finishes.
HOUSE OF KOLOR® UC21-G01 Universal Acrylic Urethane Klear is a clear coat formulated for e-coat substrates in automotive refinishing. Delivered in a 1 gal container, it requires a 2:1 mix ratio and provides a pot life suitable for typical shop applications.
The formulation offers an air dry time of 12-24 hours at 77 °F before sanding, allowing efficient progression to subsequent layers. Its acrylic-urethane base delivers high gloss and chemical resistance while maintaining flexibility on e-coated panels. Application Guide
- Clean the e-coat surface to remove contaminants; ensure the substrate is dry and free of oil.
- Mix the product at a 2:1 ratio (two parts base to one part activator). Stir thoroughly and use within the specified pot life.
- Apply the mixed acrylic urethane as a single coat using a spray gun or HVLP applicator, maintaining proper flash time as recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
- Allow the coating to air-dry at 77 °F for 12-24 hours before sanding or handling.
