Bondo 262 Lightweight Body Filler is a one-quart, two-component polyester filler designed for rapid repair of automotive panels and structural components. It provides a sandable surface for dent removal, panel shaping, and preparation before priming and painting.
Mixed at a ratio of 2 parts hardener to 100 parts filler, the compound reaches a workable state within minutes and can be primed and painted after a one-hour pot life. It adheres to a wide range of substrates-including ABS, aluminum, bare metal, fiberglass, primer, steel, and wood-making it suitable for mixed-material repairs. Note that temperatures above 180 °F will cause the filler to soften, so maintain ambient conditions below this threshold during application.
Safety is governed by a "Warning" signal word. Use eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in a well-ventilated area. The product's flash point is 80-82 °F; handle away from ignition sources. Follow the first-aid instructions for inhalation, skin contact, eye exposure, and ingestion as outlined on the SDS.

Application Guide
- Clean the substrate (ABS, aluminum, bare metal, fiberglass, primer, steel, or wood) to remove grease, oil, and loose material.
- Mix Bondo™ 262 lightweight body filler at a ratio of 2 parts hardener to 100 parts filler. Stir thoroughly until uniform; work within the pot life.
- Apply the mixed filler with a spreader or putty knife in a thin coat, ensuring the ambient temperature is above 180 °F to avoid softening.
- Allow the first coat to cure for approximately 1 hour before priming or applying additional coats if needed.
- After the final coat has cured (minimum 1 hour), proceed with primer and paint as required.
