EVERCOAT Z-GRIP® 100284 is a performance lightweight body filler supplied in a 3 gal pail (green-yellow liquid). It is formulated for rapid spot repairs and panel shaping on automotive substrates, providing a sandable fill that adheres directly to aluminum, galvanized steel, and standard steel surfaces.
The filler can be mixed "on-the-fly" to adjust for temperature and humidity changes, ensuring consistent workability without precise ratio calculations. Its low density allows efficient coverage while maintaining structural integrity on the listed substrates.
Handling requires full personal protective equipment: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator. Use in a well-ventilated area; the material is classified for acute toxicity, skin corrosion, eye damage, flammability, and other hazards as detailed on the SDS.

How to Use
For cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, aluminum, fiberglass, smc substrates
- Clean and degrease the substrate (aluminum, galvanized steel, or regular steel) to remove oil, rust, and loose material.
- Mix the filler "on-the-fly," adjusting the resin-hardener ratio as needed for current temperature and humidity conditions.
- Apply the mixed filler with a spreader or trowel in a uniform coat; additional coats may be applied after the previous coat has reached the recommended dry time.
- Allow each coat to cure according to the manufacturer's specified dry/curing time before sanding or applying subsequent layers.
