Send us a sample of your paint and we guarantee the match. Paint mixed from a code follows the factory formula, but cars change: paint fades, and panels get resprayed. A sample takes the guesswork out, so that is the match we put a guarantee on.
How it works
- In the paint finder, open the Custom color / RAL tab and choose A physical sample. Describe the part and we reply the same business day with where to send it.
- Mail us a painted part from the car — a fuel door, a mirror cap, a piece of trim, or a chip.
- We match the paint to your sample at our South San Francisco bench, spray a test card and check it against your sample before it ships.
If the color doesn't match
Spray a test card before you paint the car. If the color on the card doesn't match, email support@autofxmart.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a daylight photo of the sprayed card held against the car. We re-mix it and ship the new batch free. You don't need to send the first one back.
What's covered
- Paint we matched to a sample you sent us, judged on a sprayed test card against the car.
What isn't covered
- Paint mixed from a paint code alone. We mix it to the manufacturer's formula and spray-out test every batch, but it can differ from paint that has faded or been resprayed. Spray a test card first — or send us a sample.
- Differences that come from application: the number of coats, film build, primer or sealer color, clearcoat, or blending.
- Paint already applied to the vehicle, and the labor to apply it.
