Find Your Car's Paint Color Free: by Paint Code, Car or VIN
What color is your car? AutofxMart's free Paint Finder finds it three ways: by the paint code on the door-jamb sticker, by year, make and model, or by VIN. Then it's mixed to that code, fresh in South San Francisco, from a 6.7 oz spray can to a gallon.
In this video: where the paint code is (most often the driver's door jamb), "Snap the sticker instead", a 2022 Toyota RAV4's sixteen factory colors, a tricoat (Honda NH-883P Platinum White) and why it comes as a two-can set, what a VIN can and can't tell you, our shop filling spray cans, and what to do when your paint has faded or been resprayed: send a painted part, or spray a test card first.

Good to know
- Screen swatches are indicative: the paint is mixed to the formula for your code. Faded or resprayed paint can drift from the factory color, so sample-matched orders are the ones with the match guarantee: if the mix doesn't match your sample, it's remixed and shipped again, free. Ordering by the code? Spray a test card first.
- A VIN tells the finder the car (year, make, model), not the color itself.
- The tool on screen is the live Paint Finder on our store, captured in October 2026. The booth and the driveway are AI-generated video (Kling 3.0 through Higgsfield), labelled on screen; the mixing, the can being filled and the finished cans are our own shop footage.
- The narrator is an AI voice (ElevenLabs through Higgsfield).
- Wear a respirator when you spray, and read the product's safety data sheet first

The car repaints Magnetic Gray. Lunar Rock. WR Blue Pearl. Platinum White. Tap a factory colour and the car repaints. That's AutofxMart's free Paint Finder, and it does more than show colours. It finds yours, by the paint code, the car or the VIN, and mixes it to your code, from a spray can to a gallon. Two jobs. A body shop needs a quart of a factory colour for the spray gun. In a driveway, someone needs a spray can for a bumper. Both start with the paint code. The Paint Finder is free at autofxmart.com, Paint Finder. The link is
Where the paint code is below. First, the code. It's on a sticker on the car, most often in the driver's door jamb, sometimes in the glovebox, on the trunk lid or under the hood. Look for the word paint or color on the label. Or tap Snap the sticker instead: it reads the code off the photo, and the photo isn't kept. And if you're still hunting, we made a whole video on finding the code. It's linked
No code? Find it by the car below. No sticker, or it's worn off? Use the car. Pick the make, the model, and the year: a 2022 Toyota RAV4 has sixteen factory colours, drawn as metallic chips. Tap yours, Lunar Rock, code 6X3, then the size: a 6.7 ounce spray can for a bumper, or a quart up to a gallon for a gun.
By the code: a tricoat, two cans In the shop it's usually the code. Type NH-883P and it finds Platinum White Tricoat. Tricoat means three layers: a colour coat, a see-through pearl coat that gives it depth, then clear. The colour and the pearl can't share one can, so you get both as a two-can set, each mixed to the code. Spray the colour, then the pearl, then clear.
By the VIN Have the VIN instead? A VIN doesn't hold the colour itself, but it tells the finder the car: a 2003 Honda Accord here, with its thirteen factory colours to pick from.
Mixed fresh to the code Whatever you order is mixed fresh to its code in South San Francisco, then filled and sealed: here, a red going into spray cans. The page says each batch is sprayed onto a test card and checked before it ships.
Faded? Not a factory colour? Send a sample Not a factory colour? Give the bench a colour number, like RAL or Pantone, a painted part, or another shop's formula: they mix it, and quote it the same day. And if your paint has faded or been resprayed, it can drift from the factory colour. So send a painted part: if the mix doesn't match it, they remix it and ship it again, free. Ordering by the code? Spray a test card first, and hold it against the car.
Code, car or VIN Code, car or VIN: a quart for the gun or a can for the bumper, mixed to the code.
