Dual‑Mix™ 40507 Quick Set 50 is a 2‑component urethane adhesive formulated for rapid bonding of structural and non‑structural components in collision repair. Designed for a 45‑second application window, it provides a high‑strength bond on a wide range of substrates including aluminum, steel, fiberglass, e‑coat, OEM plastics, and primed surfaces.
The formulation offers a 60‑minute work time and reaches sandable condition in 15 minutes, allowing technicians to prep and finish repairs efficiently. Full cure is achieved in 48 hours, delivering exceptional impact resistance and zero VOC emissions. The adhesive is supplied in a 7‑oz cartridge for precise dispensing.
Due to acute toxicity, carcinogenicity, and skin‑corrosive hazards, appropriate personal protective equipment—eye protection, chemical‑resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator—must be worn. How to Use
For MIG or STRSW welding
- Clean and degrease the substrate (aluminum, steel, fiberglass, etc.) to remove all contaminants; ensure the surface is dry.
- Apply the adhesive in a single, continuous bead using a cartridge gun; work within the 60‑minute work time.
- After 15 minutes, the bond becomes sandable; lightly sand if required before further handling.
- Allow the assembly to cure for 48 hours to achieve full strength before service.
