3M 08088 General Trim Adhesive is a clear liquid aerosol formulated for rapid bonding of interior trim and plastic components in automotive repair. Designed for spray application, it delivers a fast-setting bond with an effective working window of 1 to 5 minutes.
The adhesive offers excellent sprayability and requires three coats to achieve full strength on compatible plastic substrates. Its low flash point of 40 °F allows safe handling under typical shop conditions while providing reliable adhesion without excessive buildup.
Use in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate PPE: eye protection, protective clothing, and a respirator are required due to acute toxicity, flammability, and other listed hazards. Follow standard first-aid procedures for inhalation, skin, eye, or ingestion exposure as outlined in the SDS.

Application Guide
- Clean the plastic substrate thoroughly to remove dust, oil, and contaminants; ensure it is dry.
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously for at least 30 seconds to achieve uniform sprayability.
- Apply the first coat in a light, even mist across the surface.
- Allow 1-5 minutes flash time before applying the next coat.
- Repeat steps 3-4 for the second and third coats, maintaining the same spray pattern.
- After the final coat, let the adhesive cure completely according to ambient conditions before handling.
