House of Kolor C2C-SG100 Intercoat is a two-part, 2:1 mix primer designed for high-performance sandblast and e-coat repairs in professional body shops. It provides a solid bonding layer between the substrate and topcoat, ideal for OEM or aftermarket applications where durability and corrosion resistance are critical.
The intercoat dries to touch in 30 minutes at 77 °F (up to 4 hours before applying the topcoat), allowing rapid workflow while still delivering up to four uniform coats per application. Its VOC content is 5.7 lb/gal (680 g/L), meeting U.S. compliance standards, and it adheres well to e-coat and OEM finishes without additional surface preparation.
Use in a well-ventilated area with appropriate personal protective equipment: safety glasses or goggles, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator equipped for organic vapors. The product carries a "Warning" signal word and is classified for acute toxicity, aspiration hazard, carcinogenicity, skin corrosion, eye damage, flammability, organ toxicity, oxidizer, reproductive and respiratory hazards.
Application Guide
- Ensure the substrate (e-coat or OEM) is clean, dry, and free of contaminants.
- Mix at a 2 : 1 ratio (2 parts base to 1 part reducer). Stir thoroughly until uniform; no pot life specified.
- Apply the first coat. Air-dry at 77 °F for 30 minutes (up to 4 hours) before applying the next coat.
- Repeat the coating process for a total of four coats, observing the same air-dry time between each coat.
- After the final coat, allow the system to cure as required by the topcoat specifications.
