PROSPRAY® AmTech™ AM-4200-5 is a low-VOC EuroClear clearcoat formulated for European automotive finishes. It is supplied in a 5 L can and mixed at a 2:1 ratio, making it ideal for final topcoats on e-coat primed panels where high gloss and durability are required.
The formulation offers a two-hour pot life at 72°F (22°C) and flash times of 5-15 minutes between coats, allowing efficient multi-coat applications. With a coverage rate of approximately 600 sq ft per 2.0 mil film, it provides economical material usage while meeting the 4.2 lb/gal (499 g/L) VOC limit for environmental compliance.
Safety handling follows a "Warning" signal word; use eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in a well-ventilated area. For spot, panel, multi-panel and overall refinish jobs
- Ensure the substrate is a clean, properly cured e-coat surface.
- Mix resin and hardener at a 2:1 volume ratio; stir until uniform. Use the mixture within its 2 hour pot life (at 72 °F / 22 °C).
- Apply by spray to achieve a wet film thickness of 2.0 mil, providing coverage of approximately 600 sq ft per 5 L.
- Allow a flash time of 5-15 minutes between coats at 72 °F / 22 °C before applying additional layers if required.
