SEM 40524 Low VOC Rubberized Undercoating is a 1-qt black liquid designed for corrosion protection and sound dampening on vehicle frames and panels. It provides a flexible, rubberized barrier that adheres to metal and composite substrates in body shop repair applications.
The formulation delivers low VOC emissions at 588 g/L (4.90 lb/gal) while allowing 1-2 coats for full coverage on aluminum, steel, fiberglass, and SMC. The product's flash point of 10 °C requires careful handling but enables rapid film formation once applied.
Due to acute toxicity, skin corrosion, eye damage, flammability, and respiratory hazards, operators must wear eye protection, gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator, and work in a well-ventilated area. Follow H225, H315, H319, H335, H340, and H350 safety statements for safe use.
