SEM 40903 is a 1-component clear coating supplied in a 20 oz container, formulated for a high-solids gloss finish on automotive body panels. It is intended for final topcoat applications where durability and appearance are critical.
The formulation provides excellent adhesion to aluminum, e-coat, OEM primer, standard primers, and steel substrates, delivering uniform coverage with a high solids content that reduces recoat intervals. The clear coat is compatible with existing paint systems and can be applied over cured base coats to achieve a durable, glossy surface.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -42 °C) and hazardous classifications-including acute toxicity, skin corrosion, eye damage, and respiratory irritation-appropriate personal protective equipment must be used. Operators should wear eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator, and work in a well-ventilated area. Follow H-statements H222, H280, H315, H317, H319, H335, and H336 for safe handling.
