Dual-Mix™ Seam sealer is a medium viscosity, two-component, epoxy sealer for sealing interior or exterior seams, joints and voids.
Dual-Mix™ 39477 is a two-component liquid seam sealer supplied in a 7 oz cartridge, formulated for high-performance sealing of panel joints and weld seams on automotive bodies. It is designed for use on a broad range of substrates including aluminum, steel, bare metal, e-coat, fiberglass, OEM plastics, primer, and SMC.
The formulation offers a 60-minute work time with flash at 70 °F, allowing ample placement before the sandable window opens at 15 minutes. Full cure is achieved in 48 hours, providing a durable, zero-VOC bond that meets stringent emissions requirements. The product's exceptional impact resistance ensures long-term seam integrity under dynamic loads.
Due to its classification as acute toxicity, carcinogenic, and skin corrosive, handling requires eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in well-ventilated areas. Follow H302, H315, H317, H319, H335, and H351 precautions and refer to the SDS for first-aid procedures.

How to Use
For use on bare metal, OEM finish, epoxy primer and DTM urethane primer
- Clean the substrate thoroughly-remove dust, oil, rust, and loose material. Ensure the surface is dry.
- Combine the two components in a clean mixing cup. Mix until uniform; the mixed material remains workable for up to 60 min (pot life).
- Apply a thin, even coat with a brush or spray gun. Allow the seam sealer to become sandable (≈15 min) before sanding.
- If additional coverage is required, apply a second coat after sanding the first layer. Maintain the same 15-minute sandable window.
- Let the final coat cure for 48 hr at ambient temperature (70 °F). No VOC emissions; cleanup can be performed with water while the material remains within its pot life.
