Dual-Mix™ 39847 is a 7 oz liquid multi-plastic repair material designed for rapid structural and cosmetic repairs on OEM plastics, primed surfaces, and other polymer substrates. The gray compound provides a versatile fill that can be applied to a variety of automotive body panels where a strong, sandable bond is required.
At 70°F (21°C) the material offers a work time of 7 minutes, allowing sufficient flash for shaping before it begins to set. Sandable time starts at 15 minutes, and full cure is achieved in 1 hour, enabling quick turnaround for panel preparation and painting. The formulation adheres well to plastic and primer without additional bonding agents.
Use in a well-ventilated area and wear eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator as required by the SDS. The product has a flash point of 257 °C and carries acute toxicity and skin corrosion hazards (H302, H315, H317, H319, H335, H351).

How to Use
For flexible plastics and semi rigid plastics
- Clean the substrate (OEM plastic or primed surface) to remove dust, oil, and loose material.
- Dispense the Dual-Mix™ 39847 from the 7 oz cartridge. The material is ready-to-use; no mixing ratio is required. Work within the 7-minute work time at 70 °F (21 °C).
- Apply a uniform coat with a spreader or syringe, shaping to fill the defect. Allow the surface to become sandable (approximately 15 minutes at 70 °F).
- If additional buildup is required, repeat application after the previous layer reaches sandable condition; each successive coat follows the same 7-minute work window.
- After final shaping, let the repair cure for 1 hour at 70 °F (21 °C) before sanding, priming, or painting.
