Dual-Mix™ quick set 50 is a two component, general purpose, urethane adhesive with a 50 s set time designed for repair and bonding of most plastic, steel, aluminum, glass, SMC and fiberglass parts.
Dual-Mix™ 40517 Urethane Adhesive is a two-part, clear liquid adhesive supplied in a 7 oz cartridge. It is formulated for rapid bonding of structural and non-structural components in collision repair, including panels, trim, and reinforcement parts.
The formulation offers a work time of 45 seconds at 70 °F (21 °C) and reaches full cure in 15 minutes under the same conditions, allowing fast fixture and minimal downtime. It adheres to a wide range of substrates commonly encountered in body shops: aluminum, steel, bare metal, concrete, fiberglass, OEM plastics, SMC, wood, and other engineered materials.
Due to its acute toxicity profile, appropriate personal protective equipment is required-eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator when ventilation is limited. The adhesive has a flash point of 212 °C; handle in a well-ventilated area and follow standard first-aid procedures for inhalation, skin contact, or eye exposure.

How to Use
For primed or painted surfaces
- Clean and dry the substrate; ensure it is free of oil, rust, paint, or other contaminants.
- Dispense both components of the dual-mix cartridge together to achieve a uniform blend; use within the 45 second work time at 70°F (21°C).
- Apply the adhesive in a single, continuous coat to the prepared surface.
- Allow the bond to cure for 15 minutes at 70°F (21°C) before handling or applying any load.
