SEM Trim Black 39144-LV is a low-VOC, liquid trim paint formulated for precise color matching on interior and exterior trim components. Designed for body shop technicians, it provides a durable black finish suitable for final detailing of plastic, metal, and OEM parts.
The formulation cures rapidly, reaching touch dry in 5-10 minutes, allowing up to four coats per application to achieve professional results. It is compatible with ABS, aluminum, steel, various plastics, and primed substrates, delivering consistent coverage across mixed material repairs.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -18 °C) and listed GHS hazards, proper personal protective equipment-including eye protection, gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator-is required. Apply in a well-ventilated area and follow standard cleanup procedures with VOC-compliant solvents.

How to Use
For use on plastic, aluminum, steel, stainless steel and chrome
- Clean the surface thoroughly and remove all grease, oil, and contaminants; ensure the substrate is one of the compatible materials (ABS, aluminum, OEM plastic, primed surfaces, or steel).
- Mask surrounding areas as required to protect non-target surfaces.
- Apply the first coat of Trim Black 39144-LV using the recommended spray equipment. Allow a flash time of 5-10 minutes before applying the next coat.
- Repeat spraying for a total of four coats, maintaining the 5-10 minute flash interval between each application.
- After the final coat has cured, clean all tools and equipment with cleaning materials that comply with VOC regulations.
