Quick dry rubberized undercoat is a rapid drying highly protective automotive coating for auto body interiors and underhood applications. Resists rust and abrasion as it seals out dust and moisture. It deadens sound and has excellent adhesion to painted and unpainted surfaces.
TRANSTAR® 4364-F Quick Dry Rubberized Undercoat is a one-quart, black primer formulated for rapid fill and sandability on automotive body panels. It is intended for use as the first coat over aluminum, galvanized steel, or plain steel before topcoats.
The ready-to-spray formulation eliminates mixing errors and provides consistent coverage in two coats. With a low VOC rating of 2.74 lb/gal (328 g/L) and a one-year shelf life, the product offers stable performance while meeting emissions regulations. Its rubberized film delivers good flexibility and adhesion on the listed substrates.
Safety: The material carries a "Warning" signal word and requires full PPE-eye protection, gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator. Use in a well-ventilated area and follow H-statements H225, H304, H315, H319, H340, H350, H360, H370.

How to Use
For use on primed/painted steel, bare steel, galvanized steel, bare aluminum, primed/painted aluminum
- Thoroughly clean the substrate (aluminum, galvanized steel, or regular steel) to remove oil, rust, and loose material; ensure a dry, sound surface.
- The product is ready-to-spray; no mixing ratio required.
- Apply the first coat with conventional spray equipment, maintaining proper atomization and coverage.
- After the first coat has dried to touch, apply the second coat to achieve full film build.
