TRANSTAR® 6874 is a clear liquid activator formulated for use with acrylic urethane clearcoats in professional auto body applications. It provides the necessary catalyst to achieve optimal cross-linking and hardness when mixed according to the clearcoat label instructions.
The activator delivers low VOC emissions at 3.4 lb/gal (407 g/L) and maintains performance throughout its one-year unopened shelf life. Designed for a wide range of substrates, it ensures consistent flash time and cure rates across steel, aluminum, and pre-treated composites when paired with the specified clearcoat system.
Safety is addressed by a "Warning" signal word; handling requires eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and an appropriate respirator.
