TRANSTAR® 6876 is a 2.5 L clear liquid activator formulated for the 6800 Series Medium Lightning Clear Coat system. It is intended for use on automotive finishes where high gloss and rapid flash are required, providing consistent activation across basecoat-clear coat applications.
The formulation delivers low VOC emissions at 4.61 lb/gal (552 g/L) and maintains performance throughout its one-year shelf life. Designed for a broad range of substrates-including primed metal, plastic, and previously cured clear coats-it ensures uniform flash time and reliable cure when mixed with the compatible clear coat.
Handling requires standard PPE: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in well-ventilated areas. The product carries a "Warning" signal word and is classified for acute toxicity, eye damage, flammability, oxidizing potential, respiratory irritation, and skin corrosion; follow all H-statements (H226, H315, H317, H319, H332, H334, H335, H336) and first-aid procedures as outlined in the SDS.
