Universal urethane flex additive is designed to increase flexibility, impact resistance, chip resistance, and UV protection in Transtar two component (2K) urethane products. Universal urethane flex additive mixes easily and does not affect dry or cure times. It also increases the adhesion of coatings on plastic parts.
TRANSTAR® 9194 Universal Urethane Flex Additive is a clear, liquid modifier designed for use with Transtar's 9194 urethane coating system. It is added to the base coat to improve flexibility and impact resistance on plastic components and primed substrates.
The additive blends at the specified mix ratio with 9194, maintaining a zero-VOC profile (0 g/L) and a one-year shelf life. Its compatibility with both plastic and primer surfaces allows technicians to achieve uniform coverage without compromising film integrity or flash time.
Because the formulation is classified as a carcinogen, flammable liquid, and respiratory irritant, handling requires full PPE: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator. Use in a well-ventilated area and follow H225, H319, H335, H361, and H373 hazard statements for safe application.
