TRANSTAR® EURO Classic™ 7021 Clearcoat is a two-component, high-performance clear finish supplied in a 5 L can for European-spec automotive refinishing. Designed for use over e-coat and OEM base coats, it provides the final glossy layer required for showroom quality panels.
Key technical attributes include a pot life of 2 hours at 70 °F (21 °C) and 50 % RH, allowing ample working time for complex panel work. The clearcoat can be applied in 2-3 coats with a coverage rate of 736 ft² per gallon at 1 mil thickness. Recoat times must not exceed 60 minutes between layers; if the interval is longer, a flash temperature of 7 °C is required before proceeding.

How to Use
For used in air dry, downdraft, or force dry applications
- Ensure the substrate is a properly cured e-coat or OEM finish and is free of contaminants.
- Mix clearcoat at a 2 : 1 ratio (clearcoat : hardener). The mixed material has a pot life of 2 hours at 70 °F (21 °C) and 50 % RH.
- Apply the first coat using the recommended spray equipment. Do not allow the surface to flash longer than 60 minutes before applying the next coat.
- If a second or third coat is required, apply it within the 60-minute window; otherwise sand lightly and re-mix fresh material.
- After the final coat, allow the clearcoat to cure according to the manufacturer's standard flash and dry times (not exceeding 60 minutes between coats).
