U-POL UP0741V Acid#8 Acid Etch Primer is a light-gray, high-performance primer designed to create an anti-corrosive barrier on steel and other metal substrates before topcoat application. It is formulated for use in collision repair where reliable rust protection and excellent adhesion are required.
The 450 mL can provides approximately 48.4 sq-ft of coverage with one to two coats, applied at a minimum temperature of 68 °F. It adheres to aluminum, bare metal, e-coat, galvanized steel, polyester, existing primers and standard steel surfaces, delivering consistent flash time and rapid film formation for efficient workflow.
Due to its acute toxicity classification (GHS) and low flash point (-41 °C), proper PPE-eye protection, protective clothing, and a respirator-is mandatory. Use in a well-ventilated area and follow the listed H-statements for safe handling.
