U-POL HIGH#5™ UP0765V is a high-build primer delivered in a 450 mL aerosol can, formulated for rapid fill-in of surface imperfections and preparation of a wide range of substrates before topcoat application. It provides a uniform dark gray base that enhances subsequent color matching and adhesion.
Designed for use at an ambient temperature of 68 °F, the primer offers up to 21.5 sq-ft coverage per can with one to two coats, depending on substrate condition. Compatible substrates include aluminum, bare metal, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, OEM finishes, polyester, existing primers, SMC and other steel surfaces. The high-build formulation fills low spots and promotes excellent film thickness control for consistent finish quality.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -60 °C) and listed GHS hazards, proper personal protective equipment is required: safety glasses or face shield, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in well-ventilated areas. How to Use
For spot repairs on fully cured paint, polyester body fillers
- Thoroughly clean the substrate (aluminum, steel, fiberglass, etc.) to remove oil, grease, dust, and loose material.
- Ensure ambient temperature is approximately 68 °F before application.
- Apply the aerosol evenly using a smooth, sweeping motion. Apply 1-2 coats as required for coverage.
