U-POL Guard #10 Gravi-Gard Stone Chip Protector is a black, textured aerosol coating designed to shield exposed panels from stone chips and minor abrasions during vehicle assembly or repair. Formulated for spray application at 68 °F, the 450 mL can delivers approximately 43 sq-ft of coverage per unit when applied in 1-2 coats.
The product adheres to a wide range of substrates-including aluminum, bare metal, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, OEM plastics, primers, SMC and standard steel-providing a durable barrier that integrates with existing surface preparations. Its texture enhances chip resistance while maintaining flexibility for subsequent paint or clear coat layers.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -60 °C) and classified hazards (acute toxicity, aspiration risk, carcinogenicity, eye damage), use requires adequate ventilation and full personal protective equipment: safety glasses, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing and a respirator meeting appropriate filter standards.

Application Guide
- Clean the target surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, and contaminants; ensure the substrate is within the compatible range (aluminum, bare metal, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized, OEM, plastic, primer, SMC, steel).
- Verify ambient temperature is at least 68 °F before beginning application.
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously for 30-45 seconds to ensure uniform dispersion of the product.
- Apply a uniform mist using spray equipment or directly from the can, maintaining a consistent distance of 6-12 inches from the surface. Apply 1 - 2 coats as required for coverage.
- Allow each coat to dry before applying the next; typical flash time is approximately 10-15 minutes under recommended temperature conditions.
