MAXIMUM 4:1 CLEARCOAT
U-POL® Maximum™ MXM80 Clearcoat is a high-performance, two-component clear coat supplied in a 1 gal can with a standard 4:1 mix ratio. It is formulated for final top-coat applications on e-coat and OEM substrates, delivering a durable, high-gloss finish suitable for automotive refinishing.
The clearcoat provides VOC compliance at 375 g/L and supports up to two coats per application, offering consistent coverage and depth of color when mixed according to the specified ratio. Shelf life is rated at 2 years in the sealed original container, and it can be applied within the temperature range defined by the selected activator.
Handling requires standard PPE: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator. Use adequate ventilation; the material has a flash point of -17 °C (acetone) and carries multiple GHS hazards, including acute toxicity and flammability.

How to Use
For spot or multi panel repairs
- Prepare the substrate (e-coat or OEM) by cleaning and removing any contaminants; ensure the surface is dry.
- Mix U-POL® Maximum™ MXM80 Clearcoat with the compatible activator at a 4:1 ratio by volume. Stir thoroughly until homogeneous.
- Apply the first coat using the recommended spray technique. Allow appropriate flash time before proceeding to the next coat.
- Apply the second coat in the same manner. After the final coat, cure according to the activator's specifications and ambient conditions.
