USC® 40-1 40™ High-Build Glamour Urethane Clear Coat is a two-component, high-solids clear coat designed for automotive refinishing where deep gloss and durability are required. Mixed at a 4:1 ratio, it provides a thick, uniform film suitable for final topcoats on e-coat and plastic substrates.
The formulation delivers a pot life of over 5 hours at 78 °F (25.6 °C), allowing ample working time in shop environments. Flash time between coats is 8-10 minutes at 72 °F (22 °C), enabling rapid build-up without compromising flow. With 45 % solids, the clear coat covers approximately 610 sq ft per gallon at a 1.0 mil wet film thickness, reducing material waste and labor.
Safety is governed by a "Warning" signal word; appropriate PPE-including eye protection, gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator-must be worn, and adequate ventilation provided.
