3M Windo-Weld 08611 is a black paste round-ribbon sealer supplied on a 5/16-in × 15-ft roll. It is formulated for sealing gaps, joints, and seams in automotive body repair before primer or paint application, providing a durable, flexible barrier that resists cracking under vibration.
The formulation offers excellent sprayability and can be applied in up to ten coats on a single pass, ensuring uniform coverage across diverse substrates such as ABS, aluminum, fiberglass, FRP, OEM plastics, steel, wood, and pre-primed surfaces. Its compatibility with both metal and composite materials makes it suitable for most body-shop projects where a reliable seal is required before topcoat.
Handling requires standard personal protective equipment: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, and a respirator when generating dust or mist. Use in a well-ventilated area and follow H-statements H066, H210, H304, H372, H400, and H410 to mitigate acute toxicity, skin corrosion, respiratory irritation, and environmental hazards.
