L4.1.K1 is a high gloss medium solids low VOC urethane topcoat created for painting of all types of substrates on manufactured items, and refinish projects. L4.1.K1 is compliant in all restricted VOC areas.
GlobalStar L41K1 is a high-gloss, low-VOC MS acrylic polyurethane binder supplied in a 1 gal clear can. It is designed for final topcoat applications where durability and a deep gloss finish are required on a wide range of body shop substrates.
The formulation cures to touch in approximately 1 hour at 20 °C (68 °F) and offers a pot life of 1.5 hours under the same conditions, providing ample working time for large panels. With a coverage rate of 388.49 ft² per gallon at 100 % transfer efficiency, it efficiently coats aluminum, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, plastic, primer, steel and wood surfaces. The low VOC content helps meet environmental regulations while delivering the hardness and chemical resistance typical of acrylic polyurethane systems.
Due to its flammable nature (flash point -17 °C/1 °F) and listed GHS hazards, use requires eye protection, gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator in a well-ventilated area. Follow H225, H315, H317, H319, and H336 safety statements for safe handling.

How to Use
For light to medium industrial equipment, recreational boat refinishes, construction equipment, airport ground support equipment, truck and trailer refinishing, bus and transit refinish, commercial auto and van refinish
- Clean and degrease the substrate; ensure it is aluminum, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, plastic, primed surface, steel or wood.
- Maintain ambient temperature at 20 °C (68 °F) before application to achieve specified dry time and pot life.
- Apply the clear binder with spray or brush at a rate of 388.49 ft² per gallon (100 % transfer efficiency).
- Allow 1 hour drying between coats; keep total open time within the 1.5-hour pot life after mixing.
- After the final coat, allow additional curing time as required before handling or exposure to moisture.
