U-POL® System 20 UP2253V High-Build 2K Multi-Purpose Primer is a gray, high-build primer designed for one- to two-coat applications on a wide range of substrates, including aluminum, e-coat, fiberglass, galvanized steel, plastic, polyester, SMC and pre-existing primers.
Formulated for a 4:1 mix ratio (primer : hardener : reducer) with a VOC content of 248 g/L, this two-component system provides excellent adhesion and fill capability on complex surfaces. The primer's shelf life is up to two years when stored sealed in the original container.
Due to its acute toxicity, flammability, and other listed hazards, use requires appropriate personal protective equipment: eye protection, chemical-resistant gloves, protective clothing, and a respirator with adequate ventilation. Follow all H-statements (H225, H226, H304, H312, H315, H319, H332, H335) when handling.

How to Use
Bare Metal, GRP, SMC, Fiberglass, Polyester Filler, OEM Surfaces, E-Coat, Prepared Aluminum and Galvanized
- Prepare the substrate by removing all contaminants; ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free of rust, oil, or old paint.
- Mix the primer, hardener, and reducer in a 4 : 1 ratio (primer : hardener : reducer) according to manufacturer instructions. Stir thoroughly until a uniform consistency is achieved.
- Apply the mixed material by spray or suitable equipment. Apply 1-2 coats as required for coverage, observing recommended flash times between coats.
